Marques graduated from Howard University with a B.A. in Finance. In 2003, he was drafted into the NFL as an offensive lineman. After 5 years of playing in the league, he decided to retire and pursue a career in construction and contracting. He worked at Merrill Lynch, then founded a construction company called Kayden Premier Enterprises. The company had fast growth, and Marques managed all aspects of the 8-figure annual business, including the revenue, profit, expenses, banking statements, profit and loss statements, and bank monthly statement reconciliation.
